3 of the biggest issues of this business. 1. Lack of privacy: everything you share in private with your housechurch can and probably will be shared with the pastor or some others in leadership and can be potentially used as a way to shame you later on into getting back in line and doing what they want. Don’t worry, it won’t be forgotten because it’s written down in a book along with prayer requests. 2. Lack of accountability: Some leaders in this church will never admit their wrong, and if you call them out in private, they’ll use the common phrases your “shifting the blame” when in reality they’re talking about themselves, their just too used to being around weak minded sheep who always say their right even when their not which makes them weak also. A leader who lacks humility to reflect on their mistakes and say their sorry in private ( not on a public stage in a service to look good, that’s called good publicity or good acting which is fake) . Not hing will ever changed because if you dare question a question a leaders wrong actions, you’ll be kicked out not only as a member but even as a visitor. God doesn’t kick people out of his church because you refuse to pay him or his servants to take a class, immature business men with egos kick people out of their club for non payment. 3. Lack of real spiritual growth, financial growth and good publicity matter more: At least once a month you’ll be reminded of 2 things for 10 minutes. To tithe more because the pastor can see every dollar you submit (he’ll lie and say he can’t like the good actor he is) , and apparently a lot of members are 6 figures earners. The sad reality is plenty of rich men tithe but that doesn’t make them good Christian’s or even good people. The good thing is if your or your group tithe enough, you won’t be asked to serve or even expected to show up on sundays as much. You’ll get a pass and don’t worry he’ll verify it by checking. The other reminder is to always obey your leaders which is also not completely biblical because the bible also warns against following false teachers and we do have many modern day leaders who constantly make up their own rules or traditions and pretend it’s gods when it’s not, it’s their own.

I grew up in a Christian family, but it was 10 years ago that I recommitted my life to Jesus Christ. The weight of my past sins broke me, and it was in that brokenness that I realized how desperately I needed His grace and forgiveness- leading me to repentance. That changed everything, and Jesus became not just my Savior, but my Lord. As I dive deeper into God’s Word, I begin to see more clearly His heart and character. I’ve learned that no church is perfect because no person is perfect. Like many, I’ve experienced hurt from leaders and members but I chose and choose to forgive because I’ve been forgiven. Jesus paid our debt in full through His death and resurrection. That truth compels me to extend grace, even when it’s hard because nothing I go through is harder than what Jesus went through. When I first joined New Life, I’ll be honest- I was critical. I didn’t like the pastor’s preaching style. I only picked and chose the parts I liked, but God humbled me. I realized it was never about me, my preferences, or my comfort. I had to repent for dishonoring my pastor. Who was I to criticize God’s anointed? Over time, I’ve come to see Pastor Eric, Mrs. Lynette, and the entire leadership team as incredible blessings to our church. While no leader is perfect, what should we do if we get hurt? Pray and fast for our leaders, extend grace, forgive, ask for forgiveness, and reconcile. I’ve witnessed them serve with humility, integrity, and genuine hearts for God. They don’t serve sacrificially just because they’re “in ministry”- they do it because they have a shared belief and purpose. It’s much easier not to care than to care, but they consistently choose to care out of love and obedience to God. Correction may feel uncomfortable and rebuke may sting in the moment, but they are necessary, loving, and biblical- God uses them to shape us into Christlikeness. I’m so grateful to be part of a church family that helps me grow spiritually and loves me enough to tell me the truth. No, the pastor didn’t ask me to write this. I’m simply testifying to how this church and pastor have been a vessel of God’s transformation in my life. And I will continue to contend for the faith and for the church I love so dearly. “If the world hates you, keep in mind that it hated me first.” John 15:18 “Indeed, all who desire to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will be persecuted.” 2 Timothy 3:12 “Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness' sake, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.” Matthew 5:10 So even if I’m misunderstood or criticized for loving my church family and following Jesus, I’ll take heart because Jesus said this road wouldn’t be easy but it’s worth it. Dear Father, To the person that left a review before me, I pray that they would come to the same realization that once transformed my heart and renewed my mind. May their mind be open to the truth in Your perfect timing. I pray protection over their mind, body, and soul. May you bless this person and the next church they become a part of. And most importantly, I pray this person would experience true restoration, walk in reconciliation with you and others, and be led to a place of genuine repentance by turning back to the One who has always loved them and is still pursuing them with grace. In Jesus’ precious name I pray, Amen.

I became a member of this church in 2012, and it has been an incredible journey. Unlike any other church I’ve attended, this place is not just a Sunday service; it’s a loving family that has been there for me through thick and thin. Coming from a non-Christian family, I’ve explored various churches in my life, but this one is truly special. Here, we don’t just gather for an hour on Sundays; we share our struggles, help each other, enjoy meals, play, and essentially, live life together as a closely-knit family. As in any family, we’ve had our downs – people move, we have our arguments, and we sometimes bump elbows. But what sets this church apart is that in the end, we still love one another and work through it. The sense of community and support I’ve found here is unparalleled. It’s not just a church; it’s a home away from home. I am truly grateful for the warmth, love, and genuine connections I’ve made here. This place embodies the essence of what a church family should be, and I couldn’t be happier to be a part of it. Furthermore, this church has brought me closer to God than I’ve ever experienced in my life. It’s been a transformative journey of faith. And to top it all off, I met my wife here, and we are now expecting a little one. This church has truly blessed my life in ways I could never have imagined. It’s not just a church; it’s the place where my faith deepened, and my family grew.

Although I believe that God is the judge of all things, I still believe in sharing my second-hand experience with how this church is enabling the negative behavior of one of its members. A close friend of mine attempted to attend this church awhile back and surprisingly wasn't met with welcoming arms but was instructed they were looking for members who didn't know Christ already so they didn't attend again. Then, a different friend of mine was in a relationship with a troubled member of this church and attempted to attend with them. Instead of support, this friend was told by the pastor they needed to attend separately- both house church and service. Likely related to the troubled (now ex) person. Long story short, that member has records of domestic violence which was present in the previous relationship as well as made/continues to make public, defamatory comments appearing to have the support of this church. It's saddening to see church leadership enabling this behavior and encouraging this individual to continue as nothing has changed. I do NOT recommend this place. If the church is going to be involved in a member's relationship then they should do so unbiased, considering both parties views AND at least guide their members towards true accountability and commiting to developing a relationship with Christ.

This church has horrible leadership. Pastor Eric mentioned the recent reviews on google awhile back so I decided to check it out for myself. I started to question things and I was met with sayings like “trust your church leaders”. I asked if the church could provide an itinerary of pastor Eric’s trips so I would feel more comfortable tithing and volunteering my time and was told to stay quiet or else he would get mad. I decided to take a short break from NLF and this has led to my close friends and group ostracizing me and blocking me from social media outlets and groups. The church is supposed to be for everyone and questions are supposed to be allowed. This leads me to my decision to not return and I urge others to dig deep and realize that we have been lied to. This is NOT a church. The reviews are right in saying this place is a cult. Goodbye NLF, have fun listing to your leader and his every command.
