I’ve experienced many inconsistencies and double standards in the years I’ve gone here. At first, things seemed biblical and welcoming. But once my church attendance changed, I noticed a negative shift in how I was treated. People stopped being nice to me, stopped greeting me, and I no longer felt included. But I noticed that long-time members and their families were held to different standards and overall treated better. For example, I verbally was threatened at church by a teenager there (whose family has been going a long time) and when reported, the situation wasn’t taken seriously or handled appropriately. Specifically, I was given a “boys will be boys” explanation. Additionally, I’ve witnessed ongoing inappropriate language among many youth that doesn’t seem to have ever been addressed. After speaking up about concerns, there was an undeniable shift to mistreatment and lack of inclusion. Overall, I longer felt welcome or safe. I hope leadership reflects on how they handle concerns and safety here at HFC. I wouldn’t recommend this church based on my experience.

My family really loves this church Mr. Jim invited us a couple years ago, but we moved & tried another church closer to home but then decided it was worth the drive especially because we love the Pastor, he’s funny and is filled with truth and Gods word! I would give it 5 stars, but we just had an experience that questioned if we wanted to come back. Someone who worked for the church approached my kids in a rude way from behind and told them we couldn’t have drinks in which is understandable, but we seen others who did as well just kind of felt like we were targeted and it was close to the end of service, other than that most people were very kind! Will still be going! My daughter who is 7 loves it so much.

This is the first time my family attended at their new building. We’ve been to this church when our previous pastors have been guest speakers (Mark & Trina Hankins) from Alexandria, LA. It was when they were at the strip mall. It’s a very welcoming church everyone is very joyful, and it’s genuine. We’re excited to go back and it’s worth the drive. The messages we’ve heard Chas share are always very practical on how to live a Spirit-filled walk with God. At this particular service it was about using the Word of Righteousness - relying on Holy Spirit to guide us and deny the flesh. The more we deny the flesh (sin nature), the stronger our spiritual walk will be. I love how he gives examples on what we may do (I.e. I’ll sleep in instead of read my Word - giving into the flesh vs. I’m going to read my Bible and spend time with Holy Spirit). It’s especially helpful to those that are newer to the walk to understand principles we should live by and how to implement in everyday life!

Every year their Snow Day event is our new family staple. Everyone is so kind, I see very many neighboring church members attending. It’s beautiful to see so many kids just playing!

Beautiful church. Island Breeze Party Rentals frequently delivers tables and chairs to this church for their events. The staff is very friendly.
