My family and I were going to this church for a couple years. Sometimes On and off due to work but we loved it. Pastor Bret, pastor Ron and the prayer team are amazing. My youngest has autism and the childcare was very supportive of him, he wasn’t disruptive. To our knowledge the care team didn’t have any issues with him unless he needed diaper change, but one day came where our son didn’t want to go to the 6year old and up room. He was 6 at the time, he was just uncomfortable with the idea and having a meltdown. A beautiful lady up front told us it was fine for him to go in the 5 year old room and it should be fine. Well, my wife asked the teachers if she could stay there for a little while to observe him and make sure he does ok. They said it was up to Emily and they didn’t see anything wrong with it since it was just a few mins. After a few minutes, Emily came in and told my wife he could not be there and she wasn’t amused that they were in that room. My wife explained it was hard for him and she didn’t understand. She does know his condition by the way and had for a few years up to that point.I wasn’t present at the moment this happened I was in the dome. She expressed discomfort and waited in the car with until service was over. I thought this could be a misunderstanding so I thought maybe I could wait this out. After about a week or two of going another member who saw my family go came and told me “ hey where is your wife and kids? I haven’t seen them in awhile!” I told her the situation and said that everyone’s welcomed at new life church. This brought joy to me because well maybe we could bridge this misunderstanding and we could be part of the church again. After a week of that encounter I was very motivated to go back, there was interaction with the audience in which I took part in speaking and everyone clapped, it really made me feel great. There was interactions, they were about to clear out this misunderstanding and everything would go back to normal. After that Wednesdays sermon she had came back applauding the interaction but apologizing saying “ I’m sorry I thought Emely said your son COULD come, but she said he COULDNT” my heart was shattered. I had gotten an answer, not the one I wanted but it was the answer. I’ll repeat, the church is amazing. Without a doubt pastor Bret and pastor Ron are anointed, their messages are always so on point. I will miss it along with the members that I talked to and the interactions we’ve had my family and the church. But I just sincerely do not feel welcomed. I direct individuals without children here but to those with and especially any with special needs just a heads up with this experience. God bless you all, thank you for the support when I went there. I really truly do love you guys but I did feel I needed to share this. I will add prior to this there was no issues but unfortunately this happened.

I barely could discipline myself to get to church today and when I did the lady at the door forbade me of bringing a Diet Pepsi bottle with a cap. Never in all my years of attending church have I had a single problem bringing in a bottled drink. Ironically, they were doing a message about the law today (after the offering message they do to use the scriptures to coerce people to tithe…. Like if God moves people to give does He need a coercive message?) and I found that funny: thou shalt not bring a sealed bottle of Diet Pepsi to church). I can bring it into banks, other churches, police stations, government offices, but lo and behold a lady actually wouldn’t let me into church because I had it. It’s not rocket science, you shouldn’t turn people away from church for having a Diet Pepsi… you should welcome them. She literally said, “it’s because they don’t want to get the carpet stained… like seriously? They even offer candy in the restrooms (that can also stain and get stuck to their precious carpet!) I am unhappy about my church outing to get interrupted over a Diet Pepsi. How can one think that Satan isn’t hanging out at the very doors of this church through some of its members who manufacture irrelevant issues that could not possibly be as important as someone getting to church. They were even doing communion. Anyway, whether you enjoy Diet Pepsi or not, do take note of their “offering messages”… listen to them from week to week and make sure you GIVE…. You will reap that harvest for sure! So get that wallet out NOW and sow that SEED….

There is a strong sense of family here. The leaders put a good accent on our spiritual growth, with Christian foundation teachings. The services are always Spirit led and that's awesome. I love the ethnic mixture here as well.
