Walden Community Church

I would encourage you to visit Walden Community Church located in right in Walden. It's nice to attend a church right where you live and the pastor is the best Bible teacher I have ever heard in my life. There's are many 55+ members and many activities. The church focuses on being a blessing to the local community, as well as loving God.

Online sermons are regularly posted, and multi denomination subjects. Great micwork. Sermon platform breaks the typical format and gets into learning scripture and how I can apply it and understand those around me.

I have been away serving in the military, visiting Walden for the first time in 20 years, and felt completely alienated despite being a previous member of the church. Go there dressed to impress, I suppose.

This is a place people go if they want to say they go to church without actually going to church. The entire service was one hour, which means after singing, announcements, and everything else, the sermon was about 20 minutes. The way the preacher spoke about Jesus and the Bible, if it wasn't blasphemous it was borderline blasphemy. Not to mention I overheard the preacher complaining he was tired of this and wanted it over already. I normally have a heart for Pastors because I know what a difficult job it is. I don't have a heart for this guy. He needs to be called out for his lack if sound doctrine. I don't recommend this church

My husband & I have been following this & 3 other local churches in the area online. We moved here 6 mos. ago. Even though the weather was bad, we decided to act on our commitment to begin visiting the churches, as fellowship is part of church family. We were so impressed with our neighbor, Kevin’s christian example & the on-line sermons, we visited here first, proximity had much to do with it too. The sermon was very good, very great bible teaching. The greeter was welcoming. Reading the posts, I can’t say we felt the warm and friendly though. I believe you should visit any church 3 times before making a decision, so we will visit again. 2023 my husband & I revisited. The Pastor acknowledged us, congregation was friendlier. Again, the Pastor delivered a sound, biblical sermon. It’s smaller than we expected. We’re not ready to change churches, we go to Restoration, but enjoyed the service.
