Definitely not the place for new and my family. Service we attended was filled with messages about how we should jealous of those being chased, tortured, and murdered for their belief because they are the chosen, and we don’t have true faith. Nobody here could ever know such suffering. Preached that if we wanted to test our faith, have someone put a gun to our heads and choose life or faith in Jesus. Also went off about a book of a LESbian (how he said it) who was “radically reformed” to a “good Christian woman.” The people at the church were incredibly friendly, though.

Have loved being a part of this church for the past few years. My family and I have experienced growth through the teaching of God's Word and through the encouragement of the other members. Great environment to raise your children in without worrying they will be misled by poor teaching.

My children, my husband and myself have grown so much over the past 18 months. We've lived in the area for over 13 years and have been to many area churches. There is a huge variety of kids at the church - public school, homeschool, co-op, and private school. There are also people from all walks of life. The Bible teaching is solid and thorough in the all areas, including the youth and children's ministries. They have helped us walk through various life challenges with wisdom and encouragement. If you want to grow in your faith and Biblical knowledge, I highly suggest checking out the church. My only complaint is that I wish we would have come sooner.

The biggest praise for a church is that they teach the whole word of God and that they are faithful to God's word. Lakeside does this and more. My husband and I have been members for just over 6 years now. Not only have we grown closer to God but we are watching our children learn so much as well. I can truly say I haven't had a single bad experience with this church or its people. We love it here, and you will too.

Prospective visitors should understand the teachings, expectations, and social structure of this church before attending. Our family attended for a time. The church practices a strict authority structure in the home: husbands are taught to hold final decision-making power and wives and children are expected to submit. This is not presented as optional advice but as a spiritual requirement. Members are regularly evaluated spiritually. Participation in communion is tied to being in good standing, and people are encouraged into ongoing counseling and meetings where private family matters are discussed in detail. The culture places heavy emphasis on accountability to leadership. Social inclusion is selective. Families closely aligned with leadership are included in gatherings and relationships; others remain on the outside. If you do not quickly conform, you will notice the distance. Families with special-needs children should ask direct questions before attending. We witnessed children excluded from youth activities and parents told the issue was the child’s attitude or the family’s spiritual condition rather than receiving support or accommodation. Marriage teaching places primary responsibility on wives to maintain the relationship and meet their husband’s needs. When women raised concerns about mistreatment, leadership response focused on their submission and behavior rather than intervention. The church’s preaching and culture strongly follow John MacArthur and The Master’s Seminary. That influence shapes expectations for family life, education, and obedience to leadership. This environment may appeal to those seeking highly structured authority and oversight. Families wanting privacy, collaborative marriage counseling, or support for children who do not easily fit in should proceed carefully and ask detailed questions before committing.
