On a search for free and awesome places to visit in NYC I discovered that Alexander and Eliza Hamilton, along with many other greats including Angelica Schuyler, were buried in this beautiful public access cemetery. My friend and I just had to go and it was so worth the $3 subway ride. In the financial district you can get a quiet and quick history lesson while enjoying this beautiful resting place. Highly recommend!

Beautiful place with lots of security and history. Thr gravesite around the church where many famous revolutionary characters have been interred is clean, organized and historical. We took our sweet time to read what was posted. So interesting!

Amazing church from the outside and inside. This Episcopal parish featuring Gothic Revival architecture, daily public access, and a famous historic churchyard. It is free to visit but there is security checks. Built in the 19th-century Gothic Revival style with a 281-foot steeple that made it the tallest building in the US for over two decades.

"I didn't know anything about this church until I visited NY. They have famous people buried here, from soldiers and generals to American greats. The inside is also so beautiful! There is security before entering the church itself, but not for the cemetery. What an amazing place!"

A deeply moving and beautifully preserved historic site. This Episcopal church and cemetery are best known as the final resting place of Alexander Hamilton, The church architecture is stunning, and the cemetery feels peaceful despite being in the heart of the city. Informational plaques make the visit educational without feeling overwhelming. A must-visit for history lovers and anyone wanting a quiet moment of reflection amid New York’s bustle.
