State Street Church

⛪Beautiful Architecture - 1852 Historic Building⛪ Located close to St. Luke's is State Street Church, where the United Church of Christ gathered in 1852. The exterior is crafted from beautiful brown and red stone, with three arched doors marking the entrance and vibrant green plant-life bordering the sides. Even if you are not able to enter or attend a service, it's well-worth seeing the architecture itself (and you can't miss it if you're walking down the street).

The congregation was so very welcoming and friendly. Brian, the pastor is a delight and interesting to listen to. Davis played the organ beautifully. If you are in town for the day or moving nearby, looking for a church ... State Street Church is truly a beautiful place.

We got married here 1/21/23, and it was perfect. The Reverend was awesome, prepared informative, helpful, funny, and he led a great ceremony! The church is beautiful! I highly recommend this place

Friendly people who walk the walk, humbly, instead of guilting each other or drumming up donations constantly. Pastor Bryan is a treasure. They also host a Buddhist sanga, house a children's nonprofit, and operated an overnight family shelter in the winter, to live their interfaith and human rights values. Big respect for that!
