Walnut Creek Church - Downtown

A church that strives to be what a God loving chuech should be; A community of like-minded individuals united for the cause of bringing Christ to the City and beyond. No perfect people will be found here, but people who will each other, and will love you, out of an abundance of love for God, will be there. The Pastors proclaim the word of God in a way that is understandable, relatable, structured, destraction free, and biblically sound. Several amenities and hosptiable services are available, even a coffee bar for those who into that kinda thing. Come ine, come all. You are welcome!

I spent multiple years at Walnut Creek Church. It was the church that God used to reveal the Gospel to me and save my soul a little more than 2 years ago! Although I'm no longer in Des Moines, I truly miss this church! The community there, the Biblically sound teaching, and EVERY aspect of what this church does truly shows the Gospel!

I started attending Walnut Creek Church when I came to Grand View University, and it’s been a huge part of my faith journey. Over the past three years, I’ve grown so much in my walk with the Lord thanks to the solid biblical teaching, strong community, and focus on discipleship. The people here are welcoming, and the leadership is passionate about helping others grow in their faith. So thankful for this church!

We attended one of their services. Our son, who is gay and 32 years old, told me during the sermon, you do understand they are preaching hate. I told him I was sorry and that we would never attend this church again I was so embarrassed and felt so bad for him.

I got connected to Walnut Creek Church Downtown seven years ago while my brother was attending. I then began attending Drake University and immediately knew that Walnut Creek and their college ministry Campus Fellowship was the right fit for me. Walnut Creek values students in their church and certainly will make any future college student feel right at home!
