The chocolates I bought today were really really good and the two boys selling them were polite and friendly and even gave me a gospel lesson on where the word Berean comes from (Acts 17:12). I was so glad they stopped by. Made my day! Thank you so much. Becky Wood

As a parent that has had children go to public school and to Berean Baptist Academy. I can honestly say that my experience is that the teachers and staff at Berean Baptist Academy care for your child and they will do all that they can to make sure that your child is learning the curriculum. Not just pass them on. They truly have to earn the grades that they get. The students are expected to be respectful and have manners. If you are considering sending you children to this school I would highly recommend it.

All of my children have attended Berean Academy in the past. The experience was a challenge for each one of them for they were expected to learn and complete their work. They are productive citizens and have strong character values as a result. This is due to the dedicated staff, a Bible centered curriculum and the encouragement for each student to strive to achieve their best. If you want your children to be educated well from a Bible perspective, then consider this school.

My three boys have attended here all the years of their schooling. I like that they don't have to attend the indoctrination sessions at the public schools. The philosophy of the school is decidedly Biblical. That goes against the grain of many today. Responsibility, accountability, hard work, discipline and competition are all taught, promoted and pursued. That's one reason I have my boys here. The curriculum is Classical and Christian. The classical brings in elements like Latin, Logic, Rhetoric, Classical Literature and a lot of Writing, Speech, Debate and Competitive Arts. The Bible brings in things like New Testament Survey, Bible Doctrines, Baptist Catechisms and others. I've been very please at the results from this style of education. The school is moderately strict, much less, though, than where I grew up. I've found the staff to be approachable, helpful and conscientious. If you're looking for a small-school environment that will shield your children from destructive influences and teach a constructive worldview that lines up with your Christian background, I'd highly recommend it. One more thing, if you enroll your kids here, you have to be ready to work with your kids. The curriculum becomes very challenging and thought provoking in the upper levels. Without a good work ethic and support structure, students will struggle. With it, they'll surpass past their early college peers. I'm way more concerned with my children's worldview than with talent, sports or "opportunities". This school has served us well for 12 years.

I attended this school years ago, and it was integral in shaping my worldview and character thanks to its Bible-based curriculum and the leadership of its teachers. Expect Bible classes and chapel time. Expect a strict dress code and standards of conduct. Expect rules and manners to be taught and followed. Expect that respect for fellow students and school staff will be demanded. Berean is not a military academy, but it is not casual either. Berean's Academy has never had a very large student body. I've known people that talk of how "small" their public school graduating class of 300 was. My graduating class was two (2). The teachers and principal knew us all well and they knew what was needed thanks to our small size. Be prepared to be an actively involved parent, keeping close contact with the teachers, knowing what your child is learning, and working with him at home. This is not a school for you or your children if you want a place to park your kids and have them produce a model citizen for you. That may be what you want in a private school, but this is not Berean. This school is a resource, not a factory. I know the current staff well. All are non-native to Utah and had chosen to be part of this ministry with little familiarity with our great state. They all share the common goal to provide a Christian education to the children God so loves. I for one was there and am all the better for it.
