Calvary Baptist Church

I visited this church for a homegoing celebration for my beloved cousin. The people were very welcoming, helpful, kind, and caring. The member's of the church prepared food & beverages before the service. I will definitely visit Calvary Baptist Church for Sunday service, the next time I'm in Waco.

My husband and I visited today. I loved the service, and the people were so nice! This is a place of acceptance, kindness, and warmth. The Pastor has the right focus on loving people exactly where they are, no matter what age or color. 💙💙

Calvary has been a church that has ministered intentionally in the community, locally and abroad. It takes a thoughtful and intentional approach to worship and isn't afraid of topics like pain, loneliness and loss. I am so grateful for this church.

I would hate to use the word hate especially on a church, but there is a female main pastor. That tries guilt tripping you on matters . Political, racial, or giving money. That's 3 times I went to see if it would change it didn't. I walked out in the 3rd session. She's horrible. Absolutely not good and she doesn't preach the actual word and they don't follow KJV fyi.

I don't believe that God would be happy on the way the young man that answerd the phone today to a lady asking for help with Christmas gifts for her children to hang up on her like she was garbage. " We donate to Mission Waco, and thats it. I have to take this other call, sorry and hang up ". That was not the work of God. God is Love and that was not understanding nor Love. 😟
