I was welcomed warmly by everyone I met and have found this to be a genuinely caring congregation. The people of Washington Street UMC live Jesus'command to love one another the way Jesus loves.

I had a couple of things that I wanted to check out in a small area of downtown Columbia but couldn't find anywhere to park my RV so I pulled into this church parking lot and tried to find someone to ask permission. That's when a man pulled up, one of the church officials, and we had a really nice chat. I'm sure it surprised him to see my rig in the parking lot. LOL. But he told me not to worry about it, just leave my rig where it was and go do what I wanted to do and take my time. And so I did! Thank you so much, sir, I really appreciate you very much! I had a wonderful time, thanks to you and your church. :-)

The CHEF and his Staff is the main reason for attending this Church. We respect each other to the fullest. The other reasons are the Food, Staff, and the Church Members. For over three years, these people opened their hearts to me...they are my Family! Thank you God for this Gift of Love with this Family who shows their love to me through You. With Prayers, JOY, Love, and Laughter, Thank You from my Heart and Soul! Ms. Wally Jean Stone The "Silly Sincere Senior" Member: First Baptist Church
