Calvary Church

I attended the first of 3 "Grace and Truth" Christmas concerts this morning. The music was incredible with representation from the Kids Choir, Student Worship Choir, College Choir, NextGen Choirs, Calvary’s Choir, and numerous solos etc. The Scottish bagpipes along with all the choirs performed a most incredible rendition of Amazing Grace. Thank you Pastor Tim Hathaway and Team!

Very little diversity. Actually, it’s closer to non-existent, sadly. The demographics are mostly retired-aged white people, a small minority of Indians and very little else. The people are friendly and the church is beautiful.

I like this church, the worship and sermons are healthy, the people are friendly. I like that there is translation into Russian, also after the service there is communication for Russians, where you can communicate in your native language.

My first experience with church and all my life. Basically I am not a fan of religious but for Christmas Eve I visited this church with my manager and his family. Will listen some music star and some people talked and they prayed and we burned candles. I met read many new people and we talked about many different topics. Basically discharges I believe is was the biggest church in Charlotte and it’s really big inside outside parking with large. I love this price

Our family visited the church for the first time, and from the moment we arrived, we were deeply moved. The grand, soaring entrance gave the impression of stepping into something sacred—almost like walking into heaven or a magnificent temple. The sermon was grounded in Scripture and spoke warmly to the heart, bringing a sense of peace and spiritual nourishment. After the service, my husband wanted to greet the pastor, and to our surprise, the lead pastor was personally welcoming all new visitors. He introduced himself with kindness and humility, and even shared a few words about his wife, speaking of her with such love and admiration that it was clear how much he values their marriage. He took the time to ask each person’s name and why they were visiting, creating a genuine sense of connection. He also shared that the Bible is his shield of faith and the foundation of his life, expressing how deeply he leans on God’s Word for direction. One of the most beautiful aspects of the church was its diversity—people from all backgrounds coming together in worship. The children’s ministry was another highlight: well-organized, engaging, and led by a caring team. Our kids had a wonderful time and truly enjoyed the experience. We will definitely be coming back.
