Holy Name of Jesus Cathedral

Beautiful church, peaceful place, and welcoming staff. I was very fortunate to visit HNJ Cathedral when I was visiting relatives in Raleigh. It was a phenomenal experience to be inside a beautifully designed and built church with a minimalist yet warm and peaceful ambiance. I am glad we were there during the week to fully feel this gorgeous and quiet space, and experience it in detail. We appreciate the helpful and welcoming staff too!

The Holy Name of Jesus Cathedral is honestly one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever been. Every time I walk in, I’m amazed by how peaceful and elegant it feels. The architecture is stunning, with the high ceilings, the marble, and the colorful stained glass windows are so pretty. I especially love all the saint statues throughout the cathedral. Each one has so much detail and meaning, and it makes the space feel full of history and faith. I love going to the 7 a.m. Mass because it’s so quiet and calm. There’s something really special about being there early in the morning when the sunlight starts coming through the windows. It’s the perfect way to start the day. I also love the 7 p.m. Catholic Campus Ministry Mass. I love seeing all the NSCU Students be so involved in their faith and coming together to worship the Lord, and it is such a welcoming atmosphere. It’s such a great way to end the weekend, reconnect with my faith, and see familiar faces from campus. HNOJ is also such a beautiful place for weddings, and it's such a beautiful and sacred place. This cathedral is gorgeous, peaceful, alive, and full of meaning. Whether it’s early in the morning or later on a Sunday night, I always leave feeling at peace and closer connected with the Lord. It is where we go to strengthen our faith and relationship with the Lord. It’s truly one of my favorite places in Raleigh. (PRT 220 NCSU)

What an Amazing Experience! We were visiting from Florida and this was one of the most architecturally beautiful buildings we’ve had the privilege of ever visiting. I can’t put in words just how amazing this feat of engineering is so here is some photos to view it yourself!

This cathedral is a beautiful place to worship. I feel so relaxed and at ease when I enter, and it allows all of my focus on the reason for being there. Mass there is not meant to be entertaining or have pizzazz. It is meant for worship and they execute that so well.

I cannot say enough about HNOJ. The parish has welcomed my wife and I with open arms and it quickly became the place we call home. The cathedral is breathtaking and a marvel to behold; some people appear to be upset it is not as ornate as European churches, but I'm still awestruck each time I enter. To go onto a religious tangent, it is where I found God again and it is where I decided to become Catholic. Even if you're slightly interested I say go check out HNOJ, there are plenty of English & Spanish masses to attend.
