Beautiful lutheran church that my family has been coming to for a long time. My grandfather's funeral was held here and it was done Beautifully. Nice church with great people.

This return visit to Minneapolis included attending the installation of Yehiel Curry as the new Presiding Bishop of the ELCA. Central Lutheran was a wonderful venue for this event. I've been there before for large churchwide events as well as a number of Advent Vespers concerts (Augsburg College) held there over the past 40 years.

Terrible excuse for Christians. Especially parking czar, Bonnie W. We came to attend an event at the convention center, pulled into a PUBLIC PARKING facility, with a PUBLIC PARKING sign right where we pulled in. There was also a sign saying $20.. we pulled in to pay, and were then asked what we were here for.. we said the convention center, and they told us we couldn't park there.. SO, apparently PUBLIC PARKING is only if the church allows it because they set up two old biddies to literally block the entrance with their bodies.. not only is this NOT CHRISTIAN behavior, nor is charging people attending your church $20 to park, but also holding the entrance hostage like some military police.. this place shows through their volunteers their attitude towards the community, amd I HOPE everyone will take this into consideration the next time they consider donating to a CHURCH that acts like it runs the neighborhood! SHAMEFUL!

Our path to visit Central is a little unusual. Our family is technically a member of another metro ELCA church from which we’ve drifted over the years. Blake, our youngest son - and musician - was connected by his band teacher to Central Organist, Cantor, and Deacon Mark Sedio. You see, Blake’s many interests include the pipe organ, and Mr. Sedio was a willing mentor on the instrument. We attended Easter vigil and morning services. Mark was so welcoming. Moreover, the services and messages were amazing. It was such a friendly and welcoming environment. And what a beautiful sanctuary.

Beautiful old church recently remodeled. Homeless ministry amongst others. Enjoyed the Augsburg Christmas Concert here. Beautiful setting.
