Calvary Baptist Church

I was there for a repast and I thought was well organized. I would have enjoyed my food better if I had the wing and drumstick rather than the thigh. But the rest of the food was great and the staff attentive to the most bereaved especially. I appreciated that for the deceased's mother particularly.

I LOVE this church!! Just read review added 6 months ago and found that persons description completely off from mine. The parishioners are ALWAYS kind when I attend. The pastor is GREAT. Delivers sermons in a way that relates to present times. In a nutshell no church is perfect but this is the closeted one that I've found to be like churches of yesteryear. When u walk in people greet u and embrace you to make you feel warm and welcomed. I actually have joined and it's the best decision I've made. I encourage all to attend if possible. You WILL feel and be UPLIFTED. God bless

I worshiped at this church between late Dec 2014 to April 2015.I enjoyed worshiping there on Sundays and I enjoyed prayer meeting. There was no bible study during the time I visited because the pastor was sick or the weather was bad. There was no Sunday school for my age group, though I think an attempt was made to start one. I did go bowling once with the young professional group. I took public transport to church and one of the pastors wife was kind to give me a ride from Rogers train station to the church sometimes. The handful of persons I interacted with was kind and welcoming, however a gentleman I met while waiting at the bus-top said he was going to that church for almost a year and I was the first person he interacted with for that long.In a nutshell the persons there not friendly etc; Why were we standing at the bus-stop..Prayer meeting was cancelled and I did not know... he was merely at the bus-stop waiting on the bus. I struggle with giving them 3 stars because of something that I experienced recently. Lets just say if you worship at this church and you decide to return your tithe ensure you do so via cheque.I will not be returning to this place of worship in the future.Thankfully O return my tithe to God and not to man.

I spent 16 1/2 great years at Calvary Baltimore and it still was the best experience ever. Great choir, Dr Stephen Russell still a great pastor at a great church. I do miss Calvary Baltimore very very much.
