Calvary Chapel Boise

Calvary Boise is my online church, and I am blessed to be able to tune in just about every week with my faith family here. In May 2025 (as I write this review) I was blessed to be able to attend in person, and boy! How my eyes leaked joy drops of of gratitude, and I was so overwhelmed by the love and acceptance in the atmosphere, even though I hadn’t yet spoken to anyone upon my arrival. It was such a positively humbling experience being able to walk in and simply be there, physically present amongst this particular faith family - amongst the body of believers globally - as opposed to online. Don’t get me wrong, I am so GRATEFUL to be able to tune in online weekly (from Oregon,) but there is something so special and different when one is physically present. I was greeted during the meet and greet time by a wonderful lady who just wanted to have a simple conversation with me. Afterwards, even though I am not a regular, two beautiful elders of the church family spent time praying over me! And then, someone else had walked up to me and struck up a conversation, and, in short, wanted to stay connected. Everyone there made me feel right at home, as if I was not a visitor but a regular attending faith family member! Not to mention I was overwhelmingly blessed to meet one of the online facilitators in person and have that new connection, putting a face to a name! 😊

Anybody who ranks this church below a 5 is quite full of themselves. I moved home to New Hampshire 2 years ago and it took me one year to find a church comparable… I haven’t attended this Boise church in a while and my god, I hold this place close to my heart. Inspirational, warm community and friendly faces. All glory goes to God. God bless this house of worship 🙏🙏🙏

Always wonderful worshipping before the message, so often it's a great way to feel more connected to God. I Love getting touched by the Holy Spirit! I also like that Calvary Chapel holds communion every Sunday. ❤️

Unfortunately , their drivers do not do a good job at following traffic laws. I go the same route to work almost every morning and their vans do not stop at stop signs and almost hit me today on my way because they cut me off. Usually I wouldn’t comment about this but it’s becoming a consistent thing I’m seeing, and it’s dangerous. :(

Very welcoming environment as I enter this new chapter in my life. Very welcoming, loving, and understanding culture. The words of freedom on Thursdays is awesome.
