First United Methodist Church of Stamford

This is my church home. The deepest and most profound foundations of my life are valued here. Jesus is worshiped and honored here. We strengthen each other by worshiping together, by praying together and praying for each other. I have met so many wonderful people here that are of different races and different experiences, and I’ve had a chance to work in partnership with them on many projects. We are a community that is seeking to worship God and to live a life under God’s guidance and with God’s help. Our worship times are enriched by wonderful preaching and great music of a wide variety with enthusiastic participation by the congregation.

We joined the FUMC family in 2004. The spiritual journey has been amazing for me and my children. The church is very committed to missions and service to the community which is important to me. The congregation is friendly and loving. They have been there for me in times of need and in times of celebration! It's a great place to call Home!

I just love this place. Sunday sermons always deliver a message that resonates with my life either now or at some other point in my life. Then there's all of the stained glass windows that make for Heavenly Illumination ... The music lifts me up ... and, Pastor David, always so cheery, is our spiritual mentor whose messages are full of insight, revelation, and truth. I am forever grateful for this community.

FUMC has been my spiritual home for decades. Weekly I am blessed to experience thoughtful and timely sermons, outstanding music, and opportunities to help me grow in my faith. I am grateful to be on this spiritual journey with a diverse group of congregants who are supportive, kind and committed. Join us on Sundays at 10:30 A.M. and see for yourself!

What a joy to be part of this caring community of believers! Sundays in worship and other days of activities and service bring great fulfillment to me. Messages that are deeply meaningful, immersion in scripture and outstanding music prepare me for the week ahead. This is a truly great place!
