We photographed a wedding here and the church is stunning, highly recommend. Also, we had reached out before to talk to Father John and he was very kind. He informed us that as long as we were respectful of the wedding ceremony that we could use flash photography as needed. If you want to get married in a church, the large stained glass windows are a must see for you to consider!

Great place to pray ,meditate and find connection with the creator. Quality of organ music is incredible. Artwork and glass windows are beautiful. amazing place to recharge yourself.

In my opinion, it's a shame that the main archdiocesan cathedral only offers 2 masses on Sundays, and only offers confession once a week... and adoration once a week while everyone is working. It's embarassing to God Himself. This main church should be open 24/7 with organ music sounding the city from all the masses held. There should alwyas be something happening here, it should be bursting with Life, and everyone should be able to come in and find what they need here. If you are looking for a real church ,go to Waterbury Basilica...

This stop was not intentional. It happened to be on the route to another place I was going. Anytime I pass a Cathedral I have to stop in to see it. This Cathedral has had an addition recently with meeting spaces and handicap accessibility. The church itself has a very 1970s feel based on the giant stained glass windows and architecture. The side altars are adorned with life-size mosaics of the saint it is dedicated to. A beautiful place to experience the quiet and to say a prayer.

I like to attend mass at different CT Catholic churches, and this was #39. There is street parking and a lot behind the cathedral. The exterior is modern and 'cold', but the interior will take your breath away. Open, spacious, and modern but traditional in that it had the stained glass. It's all very grand and absolutely gorgeous. The ceiling lights are shaped like stars, and they look 3-D. This is one of the most amazing churches I've seen to date.
