I loved this church. I loved the worship. I went for years and was pretty involved with the young adult ministry, where I met a lot of friends. For that, I am grateful. Last year, the church was hosting its annual young adult retreat. I was in college and couldn’t afford to go. But don’t worry—they had an email and a team I could reach out to for funding… or so I thought. I emailed them and asked if I could attend one of the three days and pay around 30% of the actual cost. They declined and said I could only go for one day if I paid in full. So what is this “funding” email for—just for show? Mind you, this was a church I had been tithing to for years. A church that will spend thousands on decorations, lights, or whatever else. I had never felt so ashamed of my church. I haven’t been back since.

Amazing church and staff , felt truthfully welcomed and safe as well as the kid program is top notch. Highly recommended you will not be disappointed. Ryan from Austin based RRC was at this location today and was just amazing. The kids loved it.

Sean talks way too much about himself and his personal struggles and will sell books and merch before actually giving a full service where he doesn't share a personal tie to the bible, vs what the actual message is. He has podcast diary feels, innapropriate or forced jokes, and really works himself up to cry at the end of almost ever service. Also, it's a recording for every campus so never will you actually see a real pastor preaching the gospel on a Sunday at red rocks because they record it Saturday night. .. again, podcasty... Now that he has this brain disease, it is all you hear about, which don't get me wrong, it's a terrible thing, but not something I want to see advertised on each service as "kissing the fire" and "attacking anxiety" which are the titles to his books he pushes every chance possible .. not very "holy" or approaching if trying to lead in God's way, regardless of how traumatizing and life changing the events are. Staff is rude but volunteers are pleasant and basically do everything.. Kids pastor, Heather, is the most standoffish and non-welcoming woman to be greeting parents as we take our children to her.. no smile/eye contact, minimal communication, no effort to get to know the church community and families or the children she's overseeing multiple times a month... *Lord, please send her wherever else she needs to be cause it's not around our youth with that high school personality.

Shawn the lead pastor is a true inspiration and leader. He has his faults, like everyone does, but uses them as teaching tools. Great community church.

Disappointed and Unwelcome at Red Rocks Church I’ve known about Red Rocks since the early days—I even met Sean years ago when I was teaching and saw him filming a music video. I was curious about the church ever since. Years later, after my divorce, I was struggling as a single mom and needed a safe place. I confided in them about my situation, hoping for support. Sadly, despite all the requests for donations, they offered no real assistance to a family in need. Over time, I came to learn more about the Lakewood location, and the atmosphere has been consistently unwelcoming. The security team feels unorganized, and the children’s area has been disappointing—diaper changes are rare, and my interactions with staff like Heather have been unfriendly at best. The overall vibe is judgmental and cold, far from the supportive community I had hoped for. At this point, I dread going. Even walking into the parking lot makes my skin crawl. The experience in person feels fake and disconnected, and they don’t even have a live speaker—everything is on screen. My advice: stay home and watch Sean’s messages online, as he’s the only reason I’d still listen at all.
