Overland Church Durango

My husband and I searched for the right church for two years before moving to Durango. We discovered Overland while we were here visiting and loved it so much that it was a huge part of us deciding to move here permanently. The teaching is the best we have ever heard and the community is nothing short of amazing. We are so blessed to be here!

Feel strange rating a church, but we stopped in on vacation. They are an unapologetic Gospel preaching church, I appreciated the pastor sharing book recommendations in the sermon. Worship service and music were focus on God and the Gospel. Packed service. It’s too bad that the kids are not in the service at all. Seems like they have a kids ministry, but I think they are missing out on part of the body. There were plenty of greeters, but we were not greeted at any time. They might need to do some work for new people as we had to figure out where to go for the service and after. There is a small parking lot behind the church.

We did a lot of church seeking trying to find one for us. Went here and from the first ten minutes of going we were like this is the place for us. Absolutely incredible. Comedic, early service which is great for us, and relatable to a normal person. Buddy talks to you and says his sermons as a normal person would. He breaks the lesson down to where you can understand them and keeps you interested. Best church I have ever been to.

The Gospel is shared weekly, the sermons are biblical, and the people are genuine! Fantastic church body filled with families, students, experienced travelers, and every stage of life in between. Cant wait to be back in Durango to visit again!

This church consistently preaches the Gospel, and the church community has been so welcoming and kind to me! I’m super grateful for Overland.
