This was such an awesome activity! So unique, user friendly, and just super fun all around. My mom was in town and we were looking for something to do, and we were able to get in for a fused glass class. There are SO many materials, tools, and glass textiles to use for your project, really more than you could ever need (aka a crafters paradise)! You can make so many different items, including bowls, dishes, artwork, nightlights, and more! We elected to make nightlights, and it took us about 2 hours to finish, but it can be a faster process with simpler designs and more experience. Nicole taught our class, and she was great! Super friendly, did a great job showing us how to use the tools, and pulled out different materials that would go well with our projects. The best kind of teacher! This activity would be great for just yourself, a couple, a friend group, really anyone! It’s so much fun and the final product really can’t turn out ugly because of the beautiful materials. 10/10 recommend and I will 100% be back! (:

What an awesome experience! Happened to find this place online as we were looking for an activity to do together for our anniversary. What better thing to do than to be creative together and make a set of coasters together for us to use at home! Nicole was the BEST guide. She was such a help and was able to give us great pointers and suggestions, as well as teach us nee techniques we never had or used before! Prices are reasonable and it was a nice way to spend a couple of hours together! We plan to be back to make other things as well!

Adam was super nice and helpful. The gems and jewelry here are beautiful, love the variety of gems. Found my fiancés (men’s) wedding ring here! A sleek, durable, and unique titanium ring. If I was in town longer I’d definitely be interested in working with Adam to make a wedding ring for myself too

What a great find this was! We were looking for something fun to do and this place popped up. We had so much fun with our glass creations. Nicole is very knowledgeable and made it fun! We will definitely be back on our next trip.

Sun Sapphires is a great place to get gifts and to let your creativity flow! We loved all the jewelry and glass work (made by the owners!). We took a glass fusion class with my 11 yr old son and we had so much fun that before we knew it, we had been at the workshop for two hours! And it just seemed like a few minutes. There are so many things to chose from with a great variety or colors and shapes. Something for everyone! The place has such a great vibe and the owners are lovely and friendly. I would recommend the classes as well as any of the wonderful products they sell. I will sure be back to Sun Sapphires next time I’m in Durango. Just LOVED it!
