Central Christian Church, Mesa

Loved my old church, as we moved too far away to attend anymore. I was a volunteer in the toddler room. This church does what Jesus teaches us in the Bible. They help the surrounding communities and when I joined, they had only 3 campuses. Now they have at least 6 and that tells you people love their work and the message of the Bible that they end up joining and they needed to expand. I miss Cal Jurnigan’s preaching and love the way they serve the community around them.

This is an incredible rare homeless outreach that is so organized and offers delicious hot food, haircuts, clothes, bus passes, resources and gives bicycles, and fixes them. Plus Transportation. I volunteered to help and I’m going back this Saturday. They offer these free services twice a month. Every 1 st Saturday and 3 rd Saturday of each month. We offer hope and love with a smile. God Bless everyone 🙏💖😇

I recently walked into Central after some time away, and I can truly say this is the church for me. I’ve visited other churches, but I always find myself coming back here. Today’s sermon was powerful and encouraging—Pastor reminded us that it’s Jesus first, people always, and that we are made for more. The message spoke deeply to me, reminding us to treat all people with dignity and respect instead of labeling or dividing. I left feeling safe, uplifted, and certain I made the right choice in staying at Central. The greeters are always so warm and welcoming, and the messages are consistently impactful. If you’re looking for a church home, I highly recommend checking out Central!

I love the fellowship in this church. There is plenty of activities for ALL ages. We also help the better portion of the Mesa community from children in there school supplies needs to helping the homeless, and supplying clothing to people who are wanting to get back on their feet. Shan Moyers is our new campus Pastor. Pastor Cal Jernigan who has since retired.

Awesome church. The pastor, Cal, is extremely humble but is not afraid of standing behind God's word in a loving way. This place is not for the religious but for one who wants to follow Jesus. The cafeteria is large and serves a good variety of hot and cold drinks as well as bagels and sandwiches. They serve peet coffee which is a good brand of coffee.
