I walked to this beautiful cathedral from my hotel, it was a 15 min walk and the neighborhood was historic and lovely sightseeing! The cathedral was breathtaking! And it was nice and quiet with birds chirping!

Beautiful cathedral. To note: many were inside praying - welcoming environment, but still an active church (and exploring inside may not always be available but you can respectfully view the interior from the entrance). The exterior is beautiful as well.

I went not knowing what to expect. I was just trying to make my Sunday mass obligation and that will happen to be the closest church to the hospital. 1 the music with the pipe organ was simply amazing. I love pipe organs begin with but this one was played very well and with the extensive use of marble in the architecture of the reverberation was literally physical. Mass was very good, officiated by the bishop. There were 12 servers with them, and during communion service they used the paten as we did during my childhood. The physical building was impressive, and the colors inside were beautiful. I can readily appreciate any older churches that still has the Hat Clips in the pews. The confessionals were freestanding cabinets along the side instead of a closet tucked into the wall somewhere. I have developed a great fondness for classical Catholic churches of the old style. This definitely fits the definition of someplace I would like to visit repeatedly.

I always experience the glory of our father when I walk pass. Thank yuh for always showing me this part of fellowship. Even if I'm passing by.

This church is breathtaking! You can do self guided tours during specific hours listed on their site. Obviously be respectful when coming in because they have things going on sometimes. I think there was a baptism happening when we visited. The church is massive and beautiful. It took us about 15 to 20 minutes to fully absorb everything but you could spend longer in there for sure. It's also free and doesn't require any type of reservation.
