Community Church of Providence

Pastor Sara is absolutely amazing! This church is so warm, welcoming. My family has been going through some really hard times lately, and the Community Church of Providence has supported us every step of the way. There’s been no judgment, no shame—just genuine love and compassion. They welcomed us with open arms and continue to check in on us daily, making sure we have what we need, even if it’s just someone to listen or a shoulder to cry on. I can’t say enough good things about this church. For a family who had lost faith and found it again just recently, I am beyond grateful for Pastor Sara and Community Church of Providence.

My partner and I went to church here today and were warmly welcomed into a beautiful sanctuary. The congregation was very friendly, diverse, and conversational. The service had great music, good scripture pulls, and the pastor gave a wonderful sermon that didn't avoid calling out social issues as they are and was true to Jesus' teachings of community care, truth telling to power, and good mischief. Lovely church and nice experience.

This church is a safe haven...it is grounded in Christ's love and is without judgement. Pastor Sarah brings a heart of healing and reconciliation and Pastor Ken brings a heart of helping those in need and encouraging others. If you are seeking a true community based worship experience, this would be the place to be. The outreach is growing and if you have a heart to help others who are in need...your ideas and creativity to advance those ideas will be embraced. We all come to the alter covered in God's grace and mercy.

I am a member of Community Church of Providence, I am advanced in years and have attented "Church" all my life. When i found Community Church 20 years ago, I found Christ! Community church is now my family, it is welcoming, loving and caring of all people, something I never felt in previous churches. Our Pastor is a friend, a confidant and a true instrument of Christ. Please make a visit and see for yourself, you will not be disappointed.

I have been a member for 20+ years. They are progressive, while remaining true to their historical roots. They welcome everyone and are far less prescriptive than you might expect. They don't debate the small details that divide so many of us. This is difficult to find today's churches.
