Came here for a community event and was told that women were not allowed to go to the basketball event. Okay! That’s fine I’ll wait for my friends out in the common area. Was then approached by another man snd was asked who I was with. I said I am here for the basketball session and he asked for the name of who I was with. I simply said I am just waiting for the basketball session. I eventually gave in and told him the name and the worker proceeded to go tell my friend that I needed to leave, and women were not allowed. He was told that I was not allowed to be in the building at all during this “free community basketball session”. I have been to a lot of community events and sessions and never have I even heard that women aren’t allowed in the gym, so the idea that a woman was not even allowed in the building is laughable. I am honestly upset by not only the rule (which is absurd), but more so by the way I was disrespected and ignored by staff. They would only acknowledge me through my friend and I would truly expect so much better from followers of Jesus’ teachings. If you are a woman or respect women, I would think twice about coming to any events at this “church”. It appears to be one of the fake churches where they read only what they want from God’s word. I hope He guides them to understanding basic respect and decency.

“With just a few changes this place could be worth a “good” rating . The price is too high for how outdated everything is” — pastor Eric Pickerill. Thank you for your feedback, Pastor Pickerill. We take all guest suggestions seriously as we strive to improve our space. I was, however, struck by the tone of your review. You mentioned the price, which at $98/night for three people is positioned well within the low-range market for this area, a value many of our guests appreciate. More importantly, as someone who looks to spiritual leaders for guidance rooted in grace and integrity, I found the comparison to 'calculated politicians' sadly apt for the spirit of your critique. My hope was that a leader in your position might have extended the courtesy of addressing concerns directly with me first, as advised in Matthew 18:15-17, rather than leaving a publicly sharp critique that feels focused on leverage over constructive dialogue. I will certainly consider the points you raised about updates. I sincerely hope the ministry you lead offers a standard of generosity and direct communication that your review did not reflect.

The community center is my favorite thing. I can participate in events, bring my nieces and nephews and draw closer to God through building community.

I am deeply disappointed by the behavior of one of the church's staff members, Calah, whom I have encountered outside of the church setting. Her conduct in public is anything but Christ-like. I've personally witnessed her acting dishonestly and attempting to manipulate local businesses—resorting to bullying tactics to receive free goods or services. This type of behavior not only reflects poorly on her as an individual, but also casts a shadow on the church she represents. For a place that promotes integrity, humility, and compassion, it’s concerning to see someone associated with Vineyard Church behaving in such an ungracious and self-serving manner. I hope the leadership takes this seriously, as no one representing a faith-based community should be known for deception or entitlement. It’s an unfortunate embarrassment both for herself and for the church.

My mom received free treatment at Vineyard Community Center in Westerville. The staff was very welcoming, kind, and caring. Truly grateful for the wonderful service they provide to the community.
