Our daughter has been a member for 20 years. We visit when in town. This is a church that loves worshipping with song. The Pastor is a teaching pastor and preaches from the Bible; he is genuine, and makes the Bible come alive. The church community is friendly, cheerful and diverse. Lots of families, young and old and a feeling of neighborliness is evident. Visitors are welcome!!

Cameras. Good for a safe buying spot of goods and merchandise from local buying. Not a church goer, but I appreciate that there is a good amount of cameras. Makes me comfortable to park or leave my vehicle while I’m service. Good place for locals to expand their own business. It would be awesome for this location to open a Sunday market.

We recently visited this church while staying in ABQ and it was a wonderful experience! Very welcoming and friendly. I loved the sermon and the worship was good as well. It was a good blend of traditional and contemporary worship with a strong lean towards contemporary. The sermon was grounded in the Word and was just what I needed to hear. I highly recommend this church if you are visiting or local and looking for a home church!

Before reading this review be mindful that this is just my personal opinion, this church is beautiful and very nice people. Without further due here it goes, so this church is not for everyone it’s more for the elderly or if you like an old fashioned feeling. All worship songs are hymns which are beautiful but variety would’ve been nice for the new generations, and preaching is more like a lecture or a class. They had no classes for children during the sermon so I felt bad for the kids having to sit thru the sermon. I saw a family with 3 children leave before the service ended. I don’t know the reasons behind no kids service available but who knows maybe it’s a matter of prayer 😊 or help in the area. The youth seem to respect the church’s atmosphere but did not look engaged. Not a youth or young adults type of church is what I’m trying to say. One thing I loved is the size of the church it’s not a mega church so that’s nice. Overall people where friendly and polite. So if you’re an old fashioned type of church member this church is for you 😊 just not my type. We’re new to Albuquerque and it would’ve been nice to have read a review like this one to decide wether or not to attend which is why I’m taking the time to write this friendly review, but please go check out for yourself at the end of the day it’s the house of the Lord so blessings and greetings to its members ♥️ to each it’s own you know 😊

Desert Springs is a very large church, but I really appreciate that in spite of its size it doesn't have the mega-church feel that a lot of other large churches seem to have adopted (think flashy stage with lights, cameras everywhere for some reason, a shallow worship service that feels more like a concert than a worship gathering, possibly a smoke machine...). Rather, the worship here is simple, with deep traditional songs that focus on praising God and no flashing lights to distract you, the sermon is extremely Bible-focused, and the people are very friendly and welcoming. I've found a great community of people who love and follow Jesus here.
