Beautiful and clean church. We went to the early Mass on Sunday. There was plenty of parking. If you have never been there before, the navigation was a little confusing to get to. Traditional Mass. One downside is that the priest whose 1st language was not English, spoke kind of fast and you couldn't decipher or understand all of what he was saying. In addition to that, the acoustics in the church hall was very echoed and bounced off the walls everywhere. They could raise the volume up much higher for all to hear better regardless also. Music was traditional with hymns. However the choice of music for the Mass we went to was kind of medieval angry organ. No TV monitors to sing along and limited music books. Did not see a gift shop or font to get Holy water.

Holy Mass always gets 5 stars. The homily on The Transfiguration at the 4:30 Vigil Mass was excellent. I would have benefitted from lower volume of the music; my non-Catholic husband noticed the same. Thanks for being there and so faithful.

Two Saturday Vigil Mass convenient options. Beautiful church inside and architecturally intriguing (outside). A bit of peace and holiness in the middle of all the hustle and bustle of the strip. No lingering around, though. I was here for Thanksgiving Mass in 2020 and the doors shut if you were late. And, once Mass is over, you need to leave. This is my go-to Church when in LV.

Went to Christmas Day mass at 1pm. Mass was about 50 minutes; not overly long at all. The church was welcoming, with a very diverse crowd, & lots of young people. Although crowded, they had people who guided us to open seats. I did not see anyone standing in the back. Parking was easy. The absolute highlight for me was the choir singers. On Christmas, it was just two of them, a young man and woman and they were FABULOUS! The best singers I have ever heard in a church. Both had absolutely beautiful voices.

I am always saddened and disappointed to enter a Catholic church, more so a Cathedral, and have to look around and search for The Blessed Sacrament. I always wonder WHY some (and unfortunately, increasing) Catholic churches decided to remove The Blessed Sacrament from the CENTER of the Altar, where IT has been located for many centuries. The Blessed Sacrament IS the CENTER of every Catholic church. The CENTER location behind the Altar has always been THE location of the Crux of our Catholic Faith, WHY would anybody change that? If the reason for the change is the fact that the officiating priest turns his back during most of the Mass, then RETURN to where the priest officiates the Mass FACING The BLESSED SACRAMENT with the priest’s back to the people… like HOW it used to be! I cried the first time a young priest officiated the mass facing the Blessed Sacrament when I returned to KCMO several years ago. It took me 8 months to find my parish church in that church where this young priest officiated the Mass facing the Blessed Sacrament at least once or twice a week. It even felt weird for me to genuflect when I entered a pew to find my seat because I could not see the Blessed Sacrament. I appreciate the number of times for the Sacrament of Reconciliation. If not for this, my rating would have been lower. I pray that my humble comments touch the hearts and souls of those making decisions on the physical aspect of the Cathedral. In humility🙏 LV
