A true blessing with a body of believers who truly love, worship, sing, and awesome teachings!

They don't like poor people. I was given rude looks the moment I came to the door with fake smiles and the energy of "I am not welcome here". Next thing I know a man tells me to sit with him and his family which I thought was kind but once we sat down he tells me "this is a great church I love it and it may not be a fit for you but if not you can find another church" but smiling in my face still wanting me to stay but being fake. The man speaking, maybe his name is Edgar like the other review mentions but the first thing he does is rips off a black velvet fabric off a cross then puts it on floor and puts a purple fabric in place. He then mentions something about a "lone black jellybean no one wants to sit with" which I believe was a covert comment for me, a black woman. I felt a very dark energy within the church. All the people playing music like drums and singing were frowning and looked very unhappy same with many of the members of the church. I did not feel welcome and I regret trying to go to a church out of respect for my father who's become a part of the church of christ. I thought churches welcome everyone and to come as you are but this was a big learning lesson that is really not true for all churches. Some churches will turn you away. Jacob then later once again said " I don't really think the church will be a fit for you, not to scare you away". But at the same time lots of fake concern and lots of personal questions asked that really weren't relevant. It just made me feel very uncomfortable. I'm new to billings and I was asked "what brings you to billings" by about 4 members. It was made clear I wasn't welcome into this church obvious due to my skin color/being poor and nothing to do with my faith or character. Jacob mentioned "I would love to see you at church Sunday but you may get called in for work, some people gotta work Sunday" and then before leaving more fakes smiles and woman telling me "I will see you next Sunday, if not it's ok....." This experience has really woken me up about the hatred that exists within churches. The other review mentions a guy named Edgar so I'm thinking maybe that's who's preaching and it was awful! Like a bootcamp almost with yelling, fake emotions with laughs barely cracking a smile, and strict orders to read the Bible one hour a day. He spoke to everyone like they were beneath him. I felt a headache the whole time in this church and a worst headache with their prayers. Everything just felt so fake and faked. I'm giving the extra star because despite being so disrespected and so shocked because I never felt so unwelcome in a church, I learned the truth. I'm honestly glad that I wasn't welcomed because I don't need to go to a church. But these people do. They need to pretend to be a good person not only just to keep this facade/lie up for themselves but for the community and appear that they are Christian but are really not. It's rare you'll find churches anymore that genuinely accept, and love homeless/poor people down on their luck. Most of those donations go into their own pockets instead of those going towards helping others like Jesus would and Said to do was "help the meek" and "love one another". I automatically was not accepted the moment I stepped onto this church property. But that's fine because I don't need to pay donations to a church to feel like/imagine my sins are cleared like the wolves in sheep clothing Christians that unfortunately make up alot of the Christian population. I woke up to how much of a facade this is as well as some clickish cult/coven vibes. I advise you to not go to this church is you are poor or a person of color. You are not welcome and they'll really make it clear. I decided after this experience I may never read a Bible again or visit a church again. I been turned away from Jesus, by MAN.The Jesus and God that I know wouldnt have screen tvs technology(the devils toys), people using cell phones during service, all this material stuff. Thank you for letting me know that your Jesus doesnt accept me cause my Jesus is the REAL1

Edgar is beyond rude he snubbed his nose at me in the first couple of seconds of conversation and anything I said he would turn around or act like he didn’t hear .practiced confusion and chaos on his part almost felt like I was talking to a cop who didn’t believe what I was saying . Strangers are not welcome here . You have to be from the community. He could have simply said sorry your hungry were not a food bank but he just wanted to play games.i showed up to service and heard them talk about food donations so I thought I’d ask but I got Edgar.

Love the people so welcoming

This is the first time in my entire life that I have ever really felt at home in a church. I've been welcomed with open and loving hearts, and I truly feel like I belong here. By far, the best services I have ever witnessed, and you can't help but absorb the energy and light every time you walk through the doors. This church is truly a blessing.
