Very pretty cathedral. You can light candles inside and they have a small gift shop. There are also paragraphs about the history of the church hung up when you walk in. I believe anyone is welcome to service but I got there just after. There may be more to the museum than what’s on the inside but we weren’t up to exploring.

Cathedral Square with the St. Louis Cathedral is one of the most peaceful and beautiful spots in New Orleans. The architecture of the cathedral is stunning, and the open square around it creates a calm, welcoming atmosphere. It’s a perfect place to sit, relax, and take photos with the historic backdrop. A must-visit landmark that truly captures the heart of the city.

St. Louis Cathedral is absolutely stunning and rich in history. The architecture, stained glass, and beautifully painted interior make it a peaceful and inspiring place to visit. Standing at the heart of Jackson Square, it’s a must-see landmark that captures the spirit, faith, and history of New Orleans beautifully.

A stunning landmark in the heart of the French Quarter, the St. Louis Cathedral is both historically rich and beautifully maintained. Open to the public during regular hours, it is fully accessible and welcoming to all visitors. The architecture is breathtaking, and a peaceful interior offers a quiet moment away from the bustle of Jackson Square. Whether you are drawn by faith, history, or aesthetics, it is worth stepping inside. The surrounding area is lively, with street performers and artists just outside, but the cathedral itself remains serene. It is a must-see for anyone exploring New Orleans.

Being from California the oldest buildings we get are the Spanish Missions and they don't come close to the beauty of this cathedral. Very moving beautiful artwork and windows.
