Calvary Chapel Honolulu

Great place. Visited from the main land and met some great brothers in the Lord who showed me love and kindness. The pastor taught strictly from the Bible and nothing else. The worship music was Christ-centered. The Lord Jesus was glorified there. I recommend for all to go there and plug into the rich community of believers there.

We visited Calvary Chapel Aiea with our newborn daughter, hoping to find a church home. Instead, we were told by the head usher that “Pastor Bill does not want babies inside the sanctuary to distract him.” My wife was forced to sit in the “mother’s room” apart from me, and our family was told we could not worship together. This was my wife’s very first time in a church, and instead of being welcomed, she was separated and excluded. A true church belongs to God, not to any pastor’s preferences. Children are blessings from Him, not distractions. If Pastor Bill cannot handle seeing or hearing babies in God’s house, then he is not a godly leader—he is a man more concerned with himself than with God’s people. This experience made it very clear this was not the church for us. Matthew 19.14- Jesus said, "Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these."

A Great Church! The Pastor teaches the Bible, the Whole Bible, and Nothing but the Bible! From Genesis to Revelation! Friendly people, great kids ministry, and they also have a school there, teaching Grades K to 8. An EXCELLENT place to get a good Christian education for your kids I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Calvary Chapel Pearl Harbor!! If you are looking for a good Gome Church, you will find that CCPH is an Awesome resource for Biblical teaching and fellowship!!!

Fine service this morning at Calvary Chapel Honolulu. The kids enjoyed the service fine, the tween wasn’t quite taken with her service, and the adult service featured some classic worship songs. The sermon bounced around a bit and peppered in parts of different scriptures. Maybe a bit difficult to follow or get depth, but everything was scripturally sound.
