Visiting my uncle in Jacksonville and went to church with him. Modern church (screens for readings and songs) with old church esthetic (pews and icons). The priest was lively and pleasant (great straight forward message in his sermon) and it felt like a church family even being my first visit! Lovely campus with gorgeous trees and nature areas. The deacon took the time to talk with us and was very nice! A great experience!

It's a very busy and friendly parish with a school and the church. The priest is a powerful speaker. They have a new family life center that is beautiful and multifunctional, with excellent audio/visual equipment. It also has a well designed kitchen that can provide multiple meals for a crowd. The youth director is enthusiastic, knowledgeable and inspiring.

I took my wife and 3 small children to mass here while driving back from vacation. In the middle of mass, an usher very rudely asked my wife that he would have to ask her to go to the crying if our 2 yr old daughter kept talking. She babbled once for about 10 seconds. She wasn't crying and was actually trying to sing the words to the Gloria. We have no problem taking out loud or unruly kids from the sanctuary, we've done it many times in the past. But this was absolutely NOT one of those times. The kids were very well behaved. It felt very unfriendly for families after that and distracted us from the worship.

Decided to go to mass Saturday evening for Easter. Was a little disappointed in the direction of mass We have two very important days in our catholic religion Easter and Christmas. The mass should have stayed with what Easter is about. Instead we had baptisms,communion, and conformations. Don't get me wrong those are important but don't feel they should get special attention on such an important day as Easter. People were walking out of mass which is wrong but I'm sure they didn't expect to spend 3 1/2 hrs in church. Again my father and I didn't feel like it was a good Easter mass.
